What is "Killing Us Slowly"?
Killing Us Slowly is a series I started on May 4th, 2025 stemming from a conversation I had with a close friend as to why I flip over and check the ingredient list on nearly every product I consume. Through this conversation he asked me, "Why don't you show people your process in this regard and then show a healthier alternative?", and thus the series was born.
💬 The point of the series is to provide insight on how more than potentially harmful ingredients in popular snacks, foods, energy drinks, sodas, etc. can lead to cumulative health defects over time, and then to provide healthy alternatives without sacrificing too much flavor.
🤔 Some certain companies didn't like this.
Why are you in a lawsuit?
In episode 2 of my series, I reviewed and discussed Celsius energy drinks. I touched on 2 specific artificial ingredients and their cumulative, negative effects over time.
😭 They deemed what I said to be harmful to their repatriation and disparaging of their business name.
😡 I was demanded to, not only, take down the original video but then to upload a retracting statement saying that I knowingly and purposely lied, misrepresented the truth, & did so for my financial benefit, none of which is true. To date, I have made $0 off of any of this on my Instagram account.
👎 In refusing to do so, weeks later I was served an official lawsuit stating that I was being sued for slander , libel & business disparagement.
🤝 The game begins.
What now?
About a month of sending emails, talking on the phone, & corresponding back a forth with attorneys, my options are extremely limited; as I've been denied representation by most anyone I've spoken to.
I've finally found someone willing to represent me and now the headache of draining my, already pathetic 23 year olds, bank account to cover the costs of being represented legally. 😀 Yay.
These shirts are my way of surviving this. If I do not have representation submit a response for me by July 3rd, 2025, I will automatically have a judgment ruled against me for costs exceeding $75,000. 😀 Yay.
What's the point?
In purchasing a shirt, you're not only supporting the fight against a large company trying to infringe on the First Amendment Rights of a Free Citizen, but it's a way for you to express that right as well.
